Bellows
Bellows come in many different styles. The purpose of a bellows is to move air into a designated space. Bellows are usually two pieces of wood or metal, hinged together, with leather or fabric between them. When you pull the handles apart, the leather expands as it sucks in air. When you squeeze the handles together, that air pushes out the tip. You can blow on your fire with the bellows to encourage flames. Sometimes a fire that just will not burn well, needs only more oxygen. Bellows are very handy when restarting a fire from a small amount of coals if a little extra encouragement is in order. Bellows are not necessary for safety. They are just a convenient and useful tool you may want to consider purchasing.
